When the United States opened up the border with Canada and Mexico, Celadon Trucking wanted to be in the position to benefit immediately from the decision. Celadon hired MacDougall Pierce to go to Texas and build a maintenance facility to service trucks going to Mexico and coming out of Mexico.

MacDougall Pierce provided a pre-engineered structure for speed. The project included remodeling an existing terminal and adding a maintenance building to the 25 acre site along Interstate 35 in Waxahachie (20 miles south of Dallas, TX).

The maintenance building includes a lube bay (with in-ground pit) locker rooms, parts storage area, oil storage, and general maintenance areas. An open air "drive-thru" inspection area is used on one end of the facility to inspect trucks prior to departure. The site includes concrete paving as well as stone paving.
