Noblesville, IN

The Regions Bank branch at 146th street and Highway 37 in Noblesville began its life as a Union Planters prototype branch.  Not long after construction began, Union Planters was purchased by Regions and the branch was opened under the Regions Banner.

A structural steel internal skeleton along with steel stud exterior walls was used to support the roof.  The roof is comprised of a metal standing seam roof over preformed metal trusses for the mansard portion and a rubber membrane roof for the flat portion that houses the air handling equipment.  The entire roof sits atop steel bar joists and decking.

Most of the exterior of the branch is covered with brick using a colored mortar to achieve  the monochromatic look that the architect desired. Twenty foot tall, two foot diameter pillars guard the front and side giving a classic feel to the structure. The interior partitions are framed with metal studs and finished with drywall. The teller line is covered in birch and mahogany panels with an imported Italian marble top.  A matching curved accent wall houses a multi media center for customers including a computer terminal, television and coffee bar.
