When the decision to renovate the McDonalds restaurant in NewCastle was made,  The Owners and architects realized the challenge in changing what had become a favorite local hangout.

With land purchased adjacent to the property, the new 5500 s.f. building sits 90 degrees to the existing building being demolished.  It includes an indoor play land for children with sixteen foot high ceilings and soft rubber flooring for safety. Interior finishes are second to none with an electric fire place set in a round stone faced column, a large screen plazma television and local photographs depicting the rich basketball tradition in NewCastle.

The supporting structure is comprised of  painted split face block and structural steel.  A red standing seam mansard roof hides the mechanical equipment on the roof and an exterior insulation finish system accents the play place.   A seven ply built-up roof covers the metal deck and bar joists.
