With land donated by baseball legend Carl Erskine, the Anderson School system was able to build this state-of-the-art elementary school on the southwest side of Anderson, IN. This facility is unique in that, in some ways, it resembles the outside of some major league stadiums with its architectural siding, and flags at its building corners. At 90,000 s.f., this facility was constructed in 19 months. It has the typical amenities found in all schools this size: gymnasium with natural wood floor, stage, full service kitchen, media center, adimistrative offices, and four "pods" that have similiar classroom layouts. The site has playgrounds, parking, bus loading/unloading, and a full size little league baseball field. |
