BP Amoco Station

Indianapolis, IN

Bp Amoco upgrades all of their c-stores/carwashes across the country over the past 5 years. Indianapolis was one of the first markets to get renovated. MacDougall Pierce was hired to build and renovate 8 stores in the local market.

The stores BP decided to go with were all "prefabricated" off site and hauled in on 3 semi-trailers. The buildings ranged in size from 3,000 to 4,000 s.f. They are constructed out of prefinished metal, steel, and glass. BP's "Wild Bean" Cafe is the interior sandwich and coffee shop that offers custom made sandwiches 24 hours a day.

The car wash is fully automatic. Any given site has multiple dispenser islands. The fueling canopy has a "solar" roof that helps supply power to the building. This is part of BP's commitment to developing alternative sources of energy.
